West Brom Predicted Starting XI vs Luton Town

West Bromwich Albion travel to Kenilworth Road on Saturday to face Luton Town for their third Championship game as they look to remain unbeaten in the league.

Despite the Baggies being firm favourites for the game it will undoubtedly be a stern test for Slaven Bilic’s men against Championship new boys Luton. Coupled with the return of former assistant manager Graeme Jones who is now the number one in the opposite dugout will surely only add to the atmosphere.

Following their Carabao Cup exit at the hands of Millwall, Bilic will look to ring the changes as they return to league action. Here we look at the probable starting line up:

SAM JOHNSTONE

The number one goalkeeper should return to replace Bond in goal. Despite a couple of errors from Johnstone and Bond’s impressive performance in midweek, Johnstone is expected to keep his place.

NATHAN FERGUSON

The teenager was given a rest for the Cup exit but should replace Furlong at right-back following his impressive start to the season.

KYLE BARTLEY

The experienced centre back should return in defence ahead of O’Shea who certainly did himself no harm against Millwall but Bartley offers much needed Championship experience.

SEMI AJAYI

The only one who started against Millwall in both league and cup games and he should play once more against Luton. Been a good signing so far.

KIERAN GIBBS

The first choice left back will come back in to replace Conor Townsend. The former Arsenal man offers a real outlet out wide and always has the edge over Townsend.

KYLE EDWARDS

The youngster is another who played against Millwall twice and he should retain his place over the other wingers due to their lack of match fitness. Has impressed so far.

JAKE LIVERMORE

Rested completely for midweek but his knowledge of the game has been important so far in the league. Will probably be made captain once more.

ROMAINE SAWYERS

The local lad should come back in to replace Chris Brunt in the centre of the park. Showed glimpses of talent and with a real run in the side could be crucial this season.

MATT PHILLIPS

Another player who didn’t even make the squad on Tuesday evening. His attacking threat is one of West Brom’s major strengths and has had a great start to the season. One of the first names on the team sheet when fit.

FILIP KROVINOVIC

The little Croatian had a cameo from the bench in midweek but should start again here. Expressed how quickly he has settled recently and his quality on the ball shines through.

KENNETH ZOHORE

With Hal Robson-Kanu ruled out through injury and Charlie Austin will regaining match fitness, Zohore will probably get the nod. Has had a tough start, little service and spurned the one real chance he had. Needs a goal to build his confidence.
