Swansea City manager Graham Potter says Play-Offs are a “big outside possibility”

Swansea City have won five out of their last six games after beating rock bottom Ipswich Town 1-0 at Portman Road yesterday.

A goal from the experienced Wayne Routledge was enough in the second-half for the Swans to return home with all three points.

The Welsh side are now five points off the Play-Offs with a game in hand on Sheffield Wednesday and Middlesbrough above them.

Although the chances of getting into the top six remain slim, you never know if Graham Potter’s side can win their remaining three games. They face two home games against Hull City and sixth place Derby County before ending the season away at Blackburn Rovers.

Their manager, Graham Potter, has said, as per the Swans’ official club website: “It’s a big outside possibility I suppose. It is quite simple for us, we have to win our games,” he said. But the fact we go into the last week of the season, our last week of games, and it is still a possibility – no matter how slight – says a lot about the group and our personality.

“We have had ups and downs, we have had to come back from setbacks. We have been good at home, we have to win our next two homes matches and then we will see. We have said all along we want to finish strong and get as many points as we can. Seventy one points might not be enough anyway”.

It would be some story if Swansea manage to sneak into the top six.
