Punchestown 4.15 - Blood Destiny

BLOOD DESTINY blows hot and cold but this should be ideal for him. He has won two of his four starts over fences, and his defeat last time out, when third to Spillane's Tower in a Grade 1 at Fairyhouse over 2m4f last time out looks very solid with that horse going on to land another race at the highest level at this week's Punchestown Festival.

Blood Destiny can be a bit of a firecracker, so I think the drop back in trip should be ideal for him, and although he has to shoulder a big weight for this Listed Handicap Chase, he is relatively calmer waters here and can make his class tell.

Paul Townend is doing the steering, and it would be far from a shock if this talented sort resumed winning ways.

Punchestown 6.35 - Chantry House each way

It has been a real mixed bag of fortunes for the Seven Barrows yard in recent months, but they could land a nice winner here.

CHANTRY HOUSE has been one of the horses who has been victim of the stable malaise, but now dropped to a mark of 136, this classy 10-year-old looks dangerously well treated.

This former Grade 1 winner wasn't disgraced at the Cheltenham Festival and at Aintree, but with the yard back amongst  the winners, he could easily make his presence felt here.

There is a case to be made that he is one of the best handicapped horses  running at the meeting, and if he brings his old spark to the table he could absolutely romp home.

Nico De Boinville makes the journey across the Irish Sea to ride him, and if we saw a galvanised individual for the Nicky Henderson team. He goes on any ground and won't be found wanting for stamina.

Punchestown 7.05 - Spindleberry

SPINDLEBERRY is an exciting talent and can prove too strong for her rivals here for the Willie Mullins and Paul Townend combination.

The 6-year-old absolutely hacked-up on her penultimate start at Fairyhouse, and then back at the same venue last time out, she ran a belter to finish runner up behind Jade De Grugy.

There is nothing of that established class in the field here, and she can go one better. She is a strong traveller, who has been a little bit keen in the past, so with that in mind, the drop back to the minimum trip on some better ground shouldn't be an issue.

I like the chances of this lightly-raced sort. The Closutton camp continue to fire on all cylinders, and Spindleberry can land this.
