Leyton Orient are in contract negotiations with 12-goal top scorer Ruel Sotiriou and Dan Happe to extend their stays with the League One club.

The pair have spent their entire careers at Brisbane Road.

Sotiriou, 23, has scored 38 goals in 172 games and 25-year-old defender Happe has played 206 times for the O's.

Former Bolton Wanderers and Charlton Athletic midfielder Darren Pratley, 39, and defender Tom James are also in talks with the club.

Sotiriou scored 11 league goals as Orient finished 11th in the table.

Rob Hunt, who has played 72 games since joining the club two years ago, is among the players being released.

The 28-year-old made 32 appearances in Orient's League Two title-winning campaign in 2022-23.

Idris El Mizouni is returning to Championship promotion-chasers Ipswich Town after spending two years on loan in London.

Goalkeeper Sol Brynn will head back to Middlesbrough after making 47 appearances in a season-long loan.

Shaq Forde, Dan Adu-Adjei and Khayon Edwards' loans have all also come to an end.

Adam Thompson, Harrison Sodje, Emmanuel Harvest, Jephte Tanga and Ethan Light are leaving the club, while Jack Simpson, Theo Archibald and Noah Phillips are in negotiations over new contracts.
