Kieran McKenna's men know that four points from their last two matches - the other being Huddersfield at Portman Road on Saturday (12.30pm) - will be enough to seal remarkable back-to-back promotions and a spot in the Premier League.

If they get beaten tonight, Town would have to rely on Leeds dropping points at home to out-of-form Southampton on Saturday and better their result.

But the bookies believe in the Blues, with latest odds of 1/4 on Town finishing in the top two - that's a huge jump from the start of the campaign, when Town were a 10/1 shot for automatic promotion.

In contrast, Leeds have drifted out to 3/1 for automatic promotion, having been as low as 1/4 at the start of this month.

Oddschecker’s Leon Blackman said: "Ipswich Town are on the brink of a Premier League promotion, and bookmakers are placing their bets on their success.

"With current odds of 1/4, bookies are giving Ipswich an 80% implied probability of securing a top two finish.

"As Kieran McKenna's side heads to Coventry tonight, they stand as 8/11 favourites to win, with a staggering 79% of bets on the win market at Oddschecker backing Ipswich to claim all three points."
